We worked as museum redevelopment designers in Devon for the RNLI. We transformed a cluttered old fashioned museum into an organised, modern, engaging one!
We were commissioned by the RNLI to develop the designs for the interior including space planning, arranging the content and themes, producing drawings for the manufacture of the display cabinets, graphic design and production and advising on object mounts and labels.
One aim of the displays was to highlight the differences in equipment over the years, in particular the life jacket was used to show the developments over time. A pocket watch and a pager also emphasised the change in technology.
