Smith and Jones are proud and privalaged to have worked as visitor centre designers for EDF, on the development of a brand new visitor centre concept at Hinkley Point in Somerset.
The Hinkley Point Visitor Centre, tells the story of nuclear power right from the start with the construction of HPA which opened in 1957, through to the modern day story of the construction and delivery HPC, currently Europe’s biggest construction site.
The new centre encourages visitors to explore how electricity is created in a fun and interactive way. People of all ages can learn why we need to produce low carbon energy and how EDF is helping Britain achieve net zero emissions through the construction of Hinkley Point C and the use of renewable sources such as wind and solar power.
See the project page for Hinkley Point.
