Bridport Museum Redevelopment

Museum redevelopment

“On behalf of everyone at Bridport Museum Trust I would like to thank you for the incredible work you did on delivering our town an absolutely first class museum that we are immensely proud of.”

Emily Hicks, Museum Curator

Bridport Museum is a housed within an early 16th century building known as the Castle, located on South Street in Bridport. The building has been Grade II Listed since 1950.

Smith and Jones Design Consultants developed the design and interpretation strategy for the stage 2 application of this HLF funded project at Bridport Museum – creating the vision for the museums redevelopment.

Funding of 841.000 by the HLF was successful for this 1.3 million project.

Smith and Jones Design Consultants were then responsible for the implementation stage managing every element of this complex museum project.

The budget of the fit-out redevelopment was 390,000 and we successfully delivered this work within budget, within and within the 1 year time scale.
